Affiliate Disclosure

In Short

SupplementDoctor may earn a commission when you purchase products through links on our site. This helps fund our research and keeps our content free. However, our editorial content is never influenced by these relationships—our reviews are based solely on scientific evidence and product quality.

How We Make Money

SupplementDoctor is a free resource, and we intend to keep it that way. To support our operations—including research, expert medical review, and site maintenance—we participate in affiliate marketing programs.

When you click on certain links on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. This commission comes at no additional cost to you; the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.

Our Affiliate Partners

We participate in affiliate programs with various retailers and brands, including but not limited to:

  • Amazon Associates Program
  • iHerb Affiliate Program
  • Various supplement brand affiliate programs
  • Health and wellness retailer programs

Editorial Independence

Our affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content. Here is how we maintain independence:

  • Reviews come first: We write our reviews based on scientific evidence and product quality before considering any affiliate opportunities.
  • No pay-for-play: Supplement companies cannot pay for positive reviews. Our ratings are based on our methodology, not on financial relationships.
  • We recommend products we do not earn from: Many of our top recommendations are products where we have no affiliate relationship. We recommend the best products, period.
  • Separation of editorial and business: Our editorial team operates independently from our business team. Editors do not know which products have affiliate relationships when writing reviews.
  • Negative reviews happen: We regularly publish critical reviews of products, including those from companies with which we have affiliate relationships.

How Affiliate Links Are Identified

We believe in transparency. Affiliate links on our site may be identified by:

  • A disclosure statement at the top of articles containing affiliate links
  • The text "affiliate link" or similar language near the link
  • Links that go through tracking domains

If you prefer not to use our affiliate links, you can always search for products directly on retailer websites. We appreciate your support, but we understand if you choose not to use affiliate links.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not accept payment for reviews or ratings
  • We do not allow advertisers to influence our editorial content
  • We do not recommend products solely because they have affiliate programs
  • We do not hide negative information about products to protect affiliate relationships

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising." We are committed to honest and transparent disclosure of our affiliate relationships.
